Buddy Program
Is this your first visit to Australia or
Perth, or are you coming to the
conference by yourself? Palliative
Care Western Australia will be
arranging a Buddy Program. The
intent of the Buddy Program is to
assist newcomers and solo attendees
with getting the most out of the
conference. Participants will be
matched prior to the conference and
will receive an email with the contact
information of their assigned partner.
Expectations of host buddies
participating in the Conference Buddy
Program:
• Arrange a time and place to meet
(the Welcome Reception would be
ideal)
• Attend at least one plenary
session, concurrent session and/or
poster viewing together
• Introduce newcomers to other
people at the conference
• Sit together at one or two meals
and/or social events
• Exchange contact information and
stay in touch after the conference!
If you’re interested in acting as a host or being assigned a buddy, please tick the appropriate box in the registration form.
Pre and Post Conference Touring
Delegates are encouraged to explore Western Australia and arrange their own pre and post conference tours. Some valuable websites to visit are: www.westernaustralia.com/au and www.australiassouthwest.com
